Hopi Creation Story
The creation story of the Hopi Spider Woman tells of the female creative principle. “I am Kokyanwuhti,” the Spider Woman crooned. “I receive Light and nourish Life. I am Mother of all that shall ever come.”
It is a fine spider-like web that makes up the Cosmos. As we pull the energy through that web, it begins to buzz and sing and informs all parts of itself. We are connected by this web to all of Creation.
