Unfolding the Divine in a Soul-Mate Relationship

Understanding the benefits and challenges of a soul-mate relationship
The benefit of a soul-mate relationship is the true freedom it may bring. We are given the opportunity to liberate our hearts from the pain and loneliness of our self-imposed prisons so we can evolve into our true wholeness. To free the heart so you may love unconditionally is the ultimate step in the healing and transformation of Self.
The challenge you face in a soul-mate relationship is to be strong enough, courageous enough, to not only face the buried emotions- the pain, betrayal, distrust, anger, fear, insecurities from past relationships- but to heal these through the presence and love of an intimate relationship. By creating a space of unconditional love and trust, you provide each other with a safe and trusted environment that allows healing and growth.
What happens often in many relationships is the fear and pain of one triggers it in the other so both end up facing their own emotional upheavals at the same time. When this happens, neither partner are able to hold a sacred space which is needed for healing. At this time it is imperative that one or both steps back to balance and re-center.
In a soul-mate relationship, you enter into a personal relationship with a soul that provides the love and trust needed for your healing and transformation that will allow you to reach new levels of love, fulfillment, and authenticity.
Qualities to choose in a soul-mate
Each partner must be strong in heart and character, nonjudgmental, with good self-control. Each must open to give and receive, be playful, mature and good-humored. The partner you choose should be courageous enough to allow their own fear, pain and weaknesses to surface without losing themselves in the release. A soul-mate relationship requires the courage to risk showing your vulnerable side within the safety of love and acceptance their partner provides.
The unfolding of the Divine in a soul-mate relationship is about ebb and flow- to love and to be loved. Both partners must be active in each others healing process in order for the unfolding to occur. Within the healing process, to love is to be present with unconditional love while your partner is in the phase of releasing the old negative emotions and fears as they surface. To be loved is to allow your own negative emotions and fears to surface while being held in the trusted space of unconditional love your partner holds for you. It is not about fixing one another. It is simply to be present and open to each other.
Communication in a relationship
Communication is of vital importance. Communication, both verbally and subtly, is the Life Flow in every relationship and should be used and respected as such. The Life Force of all relationships is unconditional love. When communication begins to deteriorate and true feelings are not allowed or properly expressed, the entire foundation of the relationship begins to erode.
Taking the next step when the relationship reaches the crossroad
What is the next step when a relationship faces the crossroad?
The choice that is first made at the crossroad must be made with the Self. You must ask yourself whether or not you wish to take the relationship to the next level of healing and divine expression. If the choice is made to end at the crossroad, before the healing is complete, you will have grown only as far as you have allowed your fears and vulnerabilities to surface.
The healthy “next step” is to reach the crossroad with the sincerity that allows you and your partner to free the heart from all past pain and fear while keeping in the forefront of your mind the ultimate goal of self-mastery and your souls evolution.
Anchoring the new paradigm relationship in this world
The new paradigm relationship is to be in the bliss of loves limitless expression, free from all fear and pain. It allows you to seeing the world and every relationship through the eyes of the Divine. The unfolding the Divine within the soul-mate relationship is the final step on the path to self-mastery. The purpose and evolution of Self is, in its purest essence, the return to an intimate relationship with the Divine.
